Organize the spaces in the kitchen

How to best organize the spaces in the kitchen

Have you ever wondered how you can best organize the spaces in the kitchen? What are the fundamental elements to be able to make your kitchen space even more functional? To give an answer to this question, we have taken care of it, with a simple guide but really intuitive. Whether your kitchen is large or small, it doesn’t matter. What matters is how it is organized.
So, if you are ready, we can start with the first steps to follow!

The typology

Before you leave with the tips, you need to answer the following question: What kind of cuisine do we have? Is this an island? A corner? Is it new, classic or modern?
Giving a first imprint is fundamental, because it allows us to understand how to move in virtue of the style and the space that we have at our disposal.
If you need to create a kitchen space from scratch, we recommend that you opt for an “open space” solution. Let the kitchen be connected and not separated from the other rooms, such as the living room or dining room.

Organize the spaces in the kitchen

Basic elements for organising kitchen space

But what are the basic elements that characterize the kitchen? And above all, that they bind our choices? Without a doubt, colours play a fundamental role. It is usually recommended to use natural shades tending towards warm colours. The kitchen is the place for conviviality, so it needs a warm and welcoming environment.
If, on the other hand, we prefer a more refined kitchen, we can opt for soft colours with a glossy finish. If they are historical apartments, it will be appropriate to opt for trendy materials but with a strong chromatic contrast with respect to the walls.

Lights and shelves

We are not only talking about the materials, but also about the lighting system when we are going to understand how to make our kitchen more functional. As for the colors, also for the lights, we recommend warm temperatures, diffusion. All accompanied, where possible, by a system of large windows that can pass natural light during the day.
To organize the spaces in the kitchen instead, from the practical point of view, we recommend using stone ceilings (and not wood) and insert a system of shelves and compartments to the wall.
You will get more space but without invading and reducing the existing one.

Finishing: which ones to opt for?

Since this is an environment particularly exposed to possible damage, resulting from the use of tools and products of various kinds, we recommend adopting waterproof paints that can last over time.
Obviously, the style to be selected is at the discretion of the owner of the house. We also remind you that the kitchen remains a “dangerous” environment for children. For this reason, we recommend adopting both solutions suitable for children, but especially safety systems from dangerous products.
