The most resilient cities

The post Covid ranking

As you may have noticed, in our latest guides, we have mainly focused on how the pandemic has changed the way people live and think. After analysing how the various nations have adapted to this situation, and above all what the main decisions made by the main heads of government to be able to cope with the pandemic risk, the time has come to draw up a ranking.

The most resilient cities to the covid emergency will be the protagonists of our mini guide today. In fact, we have decided to analyse the top five cities in the world that have distinguished themselves in the fight against the coronavirus. Obviously taking into account both the health aspect and, above all, the national real estate market. If you are curious to know if your country is home to one of the five most resident cities in the world, well you just have to keep reading our column. So you’re ready to get started!

Manila in first place

The first place is occupied by the wonderful city of Manila. For those who do not know this reality, here is some brief information. Manila is the capital of the Philippines and is located on the east coast of Manila Bay. Although it is one of the poorest cities on the globe, it is also known for a further record. Its metropolitan area is the industrial cultural and economic center of the entire country. It is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. How is it that such a poor city has managed to be one of the most resilient cities in the world?
Simple: thanks to the government’s severe restrictions against the spread of Covid-19.
In this case, even the real estate sector does not seem to have suffered a major setback.

Tokyo second

In second place is the city of Tokyo. Famous for being one of the most avant-garde cities in the world, the city of Tokyo is one of the top five most resilient Covid cities. In this case the advantage is temporal. After the virus spread to Asia, it landed in Europe. Therefore, it was possible for the eastern population to be able to coexist and analyse it on the basis of the European repercussions. In short, the Asians were ahead of their time. And how come the real estate market has been saved despite Tokyo being one of the focal points of the pandemic emergency? Simple, thanks to a race for real estate both nationally and internationally, due to the fall in prices.

The most resilient cities

The last three

In the last three winning positions we find Stockholm, Moscow and Geneva.
The cold Stockholm has opened up new possibilities for potential entrants, in terms of investors. Although the current legislation in terms of reception is very strict, the same cannot be said for the current situation. Suffice it to say that stakeholders will not have to be physically present to close a deal. But a digital signature on documents with a valid identifier will suffice.

The very cold Moscow, on the other hand, does not seem to have been affected at all by the Covid situation. Perhaps because it was initially underemphasised even at government level. The fact remains that living in Moscow still represents a considerable cost!
Geneva, which has always been neutral, has managed, thanks to a policy of immediate border closure, to deal with both the pandemic risk and the collapse of the brick.

And so, is your city among the most resilient?
