The absolute best city to live in, global level, is Auckland , New Zealand. It scored an average of 96 points, based on the previously mentioned areas.
How did this city manage to get such a high score? Undoubtedly, thanks to the closure of the borders, it has been possible to reduce the possibility of contagion. In addition, New Zealand has managed to keep both theaters and restaurants open. But also all the other cultural activities. It should also be remembered that students continued to attend schools and universities during the period of the pandemic. This is quite an accomplishment, considering that the city of Auckland managed to place first after reaching sixth place in 2020.

Osaka and Adelaide

The second and third places in the ranking are occupied by the Japanese city of Osaka and the Australian city of Adelaide. In the first case, the average rating was 94.2 points. What made it possible to achieve this score, was the stability of the city and the excellent health sector (both sectors reached 100%).

Adelaide, on the other hand, obtained the highest score in health care thanks to the excellent management that made it possible, during the pandemic, to quickly loosen the restrictions imposed. The score in this case is 94 points. Only 0.2 points compared to Japan’s Osaka.

Let’s find out now which are the worst cities in this ranking that have obtained the lowest score. The first is the city of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The score that this city scored is only 33.5. Although the stability factor achieved a remarkable score, the same cannot be said for the health sector. Another capital city was also considered as the worst city to live in after the pandemic. The health care system was the weak point, considering that, this sector, I scored only 29.2 points. The general average, on the other hand, was 34.1. We are talking about Algiers.
