Valentine’s Day table

Our advice

Who said that preparing a Valentine’s Day table necessarily means celebrating it with your partner? In fact, there are many people who, this year, will take the opportunity to see each other again, perhaps by organising a dinner at home. Always respecting the anti-Covid rules. Here at Realigro, we would like to give you some advice on how to decorate your table. But not only for this party, but in general, to welcome your guests with a touch of style and uniqueness.

If, on the other hand, you want to surprise your sweetheart, you won’t fall for the classic heart shape, will you!
So, in order not to make a mistake and not to risk creating a jumble of colours with the rest of the house… let’s get started!

Tableware for Valentine’s Day: vintage

For those who are going to use this holiday to involve their friends, you can very well use this style. Vintage! If you have a house that recalls earthy colours, perhaps in a Nordic style, you can bring these shades to the table. We recommend light-coloured tablecloths, perhaps in linen, combined with simple or soberly decorated ceramic plates. As centrepieces, no bright red. Use pastel-coloured flower arrangements instead. If there are two of you, opt also for candle holders that can reflect the light and make everything more harmonious. If you want to add an extra touch, choose a few golden accessories.

Black and white

Don’t have any ideas for your Valentine’s Day table? Go back to basics! Whether you’re in a couple or with friends, the effect will be just as stunning. A timeless classic. The contrast between black and white. Simply alternate these colours with each other. For the more daring, we recommend using a black tablecloth and playing on this background with touches of white. Like the flowers, place cards and napkins. In this case, we advise against putting too many details on the table. Such a strong contrast already makes a big impact. Overdoing the decorations could be counterproductive!

Lilac

A romantic colour, but adaptable to all circumstances, is lilac. Here again, you can surprise your loved one or your friends with the delicacy of this colour. The perfect combination is with cream and bronze. That’s why, if you have an industrial house with a bronze table, a light lace tablecloth with lilac details on top will be perfect. In this case, you can really indulge yourself, as long as you choose several shades of this colour and not just one. You would risk making the whole thing too monotonous and heavy. In addition, if you want to complete everything impeccably, choose scented candles or flowers in these shades.

Red

Red is the colour of love. But also the most traditional for this occasion. To avoid trivialising it, we advise you to combine it with dark grey or very elegant black. As decorations, all you need to do is choose candles or some red ribbons to tie the cutlery together and create a more romantic atmosphere.

How will you celebrate Valentine’s Day?
